“We have decided to knit beanies for Calvary St John Hospital in South Hobart. The $1,000 has given us a project with a purpose. We have been finding it difficult to purchase wool due to the increase in price per ball, so our ladies are so enthused to be working towards our target of 300 beanies.
When we saw the Grant advertised, we were hesitant to apply, thinking that a little group of ladies from the Western Suburbs of Sydney would be the last group to be awarded a grant. It proves that anyone should apply, you never know who might be the next lucky recipient.”
