“$1,000 can go a long way in providing a child with the necessary items to attend school feeling excited and ready to learn. We often hear stories of children turning up to school with nothing or what they do have, in a plastic bag. This grant will enable The Backpack Venture to purchase 15 backpacks and fill them with essential items. We will also be able to make up 16 Girls Emergency Kits. These are pencil cases with pads, roll on deodorant, hand sanitizer in them.”
